Chloë Reddaway, a Research Fellow in Theology and the Visual Arts and deputy director of the Centre for Arts and the Sacred at King’s College London is interested in how works of art form and transform relationships with God.
She has produced a number of informative and superbly narrated videos, including “Christ is not like a Snail” which was my introduction to her work in 2017. She addresses a question faced by the great Christian artists: How to depict the Christ, both human and divine?
Her publications include Transformations in Persons and Paint: Visual Theology, Historical Images and the Modern Viewer, Strangeness and Recognition: Mystery and Familiarity in Renaissance Images of Christ, and Theology, Modernity, and the Visual Arts (with Ben Quash).
Take a few minutes—six to be exact—to enjoy a taste of art and theology with Chloë Reddaway. You won’t be disappointed.
