I am a Catholic historian and author. Here you will find brief posts - (nearly always less than a three-minute read) - a quick but insightful story or personal observation, an introduction of a little-known character or story from the past, or a reminder of a long-forgotten event. A wide variety - at times educational, informative, newsy, comical, or trivial (stuff you can confidently bring up at a cocktail party), but always a nice diversion!

You won’t have to worry about missing anything - and don’t worry about a flood of emails - I post 2 or 3 times a week. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. If you like, please share with friends.
